1. Botanical art - my new love. Drawing the imperfections of the leaves and flowers is the most attractive thing. This is a physalis study - the simplest thing to start due to its shape and nice curves. I still remember how we draw it with watercolor in the art school 12 years ago.


    Есть своя неповторимая прелесть в несовершенных формах. И в твоём неумении рисовать идеально, разумеется. Достала каллиграфическую тушь и ботанический журнал – получилось это. Помню, как мы эти физализы мучили в художке, переставляя из одного натюрморта в другой.

  3. In the pursuit of better technique you are likely to lose the idea of the sketch. Modern design thinking telling us that the process is as much important as the result (just look through the Frame mag, all issues).
    Although I always try to improve my illustrator skills, sometimes it is better to use as little tools as possible, just to be sure that the viewer won't be distracted by useless details.

    Старые проекты гремят своими склетами в моём шкафу! Достала, сдула пыль и моль, осмотрела оставшееся и повесила гриф "переделать"!
    Вот этим сейчас и занимаюсь. Ну и параллельно смотрю, в какой технике приятнее работать.

    Something old, something new! Old projects, new ways. At least they all have to be published, so it is better to do some initial changes before publishing. Lets go!

  9. С трудом верится, но я доделала вариант для рабочего стола, да ещё и в цветах, которые мне нравятся!
    Ура.
    Изображение огромное, тут выкладываю 2700х1700px. Остальное - on demand, как говорится ;)

  10. Недолго продержалась))
    Блуждая по просторам интернетов в поисках "моего идеального блога", возвращаюсь сюда, ибо прикипела всё-таки

    Поиски прошли не зря и в их ходе появились tumblr, cargo, behance, а скоро обновится и coroflot, но об этом чуть позже.

    А пока по научению Николя пробую разные техники в иллюстрации. (А вы знали, что в средние века художникам не давали заказов, если они слишком часто повторялись в своих приёмах?)
